The World Factbook is a free Web site hosted by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The site provides information on the history, people, governent, economy, geography, communication, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities.
Features
The World Factbook features regional maps, flags of the world, country profiles, country comparisons, definitions and notes. Information can be sorted and filtered in a variety of ways to facilitate exploration and analysis.
